Credit Card Review: Citi American Airlines Executive [100,000 miles]
Earn 100,000 American Airlines miles on the Citi American Airlines Executive credit card.
So what is the catch?
You must spend $10,000 in 3 months after opening the card (easy to do with the manufacturing spending ideas outlined in my guide.)
The card benefits include….
–$200 in statement credits – earn $1 in statement credits for each $1 spent on purchases within the first 12 months of cardmembership
–Admirals Club Membership Privileges (a value of up to $500)
-Earn up to 10,000 Elite Qualifying Miles per calendar year if you spend $40,000 on the card
–No Foreign Purchase Fees
–Enhanced Airport Experience with dedicated check-in and priority screeningand boarding
–First Checked Bag Free
100,000 American Airline miles is equal to 2 round-trip off-peak flights to Europe in economy OR 2 round-trip off-peak flights to South America in economy OR 1 round-trip flight to Asia, Europe, or South America in business class!
Yes, the $450 annual fee is rough but you get $200 in statement credits… making the annual fee only $250.
You could sign up for the card, meet the minimum spend, and next year convert the card into a Citi credit card that has a lower or no annual fee.
